On Wednesday the 18th of May, i attended the Digital world Roadshow event at Selkirk high school as an exhibitor for Stewart Technology.
The event was based around showing young people what jobs are involved in the "digital world" and what opportunities were available to them. To to this i had to be out on the exhibition floor interacting with the kids as they came to the booth and engaging them in conversation about what they would like to do and what Stewart Technology does.
I took a few products that are manufactured by the company to display at the booth along with a video i had edited to display what products are manufactured at Stewart Technology and how the process comes about. I aimed for some of the "flashier" products like a mood light, videos badges and a speed sign.
I feel like this opportunity was definitely an excellent thing to have done as i have never been an exhibitor before and this really gave me a lot of experience into how to handle a crowd of people and really getting them engaged in the idea and the company.
